Rehabilitate the pipe from the inside
Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining introduces a resin-impregnated liner into the prepared pipe. Controlled curing forms a continuous internal structure within the existing pipeline.
This no-dig pipe repair approach can limit excavation and surface disruption compared with replacing the full pipe run. Access works, isolation and the work window are assessed for each project.

Position the resin-impregnated liner and cure it under controlled conditions. SEA describes a steam-assisted CIPP process; the project specification defines the applicable system.
Inspect and document
Final inspection and agreed checks document the completed work. Handover requirements and return-to-service conditions are defined in the project scope.
Can every damaged pipe be relined?
No. Condition, geometry, access and operating requirements must be assessed first. Collapsed sections or other defects may require additional repairs before a liner can be considered.
How does CIPP differ from a surface coating?
CIPP uses a resin-impregnated liner cured inside the existing pipe to form a continuous internal structure. The liner design and performance requirements are specified for the application.
Is excavation still required?
Trenchless pipe rehabilitation can reduce excavation along the pipeline. Access points, isolation arrangements and local repairs may still require surface works; these are defined after assessment.
