Special valves are engineered to an agreed project specification rather than supplied as standard stock. PIP in Oman works with the SchuF product portfolio on bottom outlet, drain, diverter, angle control and other special process valves. Flow paths, materials, trim and actuation are selected around the medium, temperature, pressure and operating cycle. When does a valve need an individual design?
A special valve may be required when a standard configuration does not meet the process, connection or operating requirements. The enquiry should define the duty before a design or material is selected.
Bottom outlet, diverter and angle control valves
PIP works with the SchuF portfolio to review application-specific valve options. Available designs and actuation are evaluated against the process medium, operating cycle and required flow path.
What information is needed for a technical review?
Provide the medium, solids content where relevant, temperature and pressure ranges, connection drawings and intended operating sequence. State any maintenance access limitations and documentation requirements.
